My kids LOVE this bread and ask me to make it often!  It is a great snack if I have a house full of their friends visiting as well.  It is cheap to make and feeds many people.  You can easily get 20 slices out of this delicious cheesy and flavorful bread.  You will not want to order cheesy bread again from any well known pizza chain after trying this recipe!

Ingredients for the Dough:

3 c. flour

2 T. sugar

1 t. salt

1 package active rapid rise yeast

3 T. olive oil

1 c. warm water

2 T. corn meal

Butter Sauce:

6 T. butter melted

2 t. dried parsley

1 t. garlic salt

1 t. garlic powder

1/2 t. Italian Seasoning

Kosher salt

1/4 c. and 1/8 c. Parmesan cheese

1 lb. Mozzarella and Romano blend (or either cheese separately)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Dissolve yeast in warm water.  Stir vigorously with a fork until all the yeast is dissolved.  Combine flour, sugar, salt in a separate bowl.  Add the dry ingredients to the yeast mixture then add the olive oil.  Stir with a fork until combined.  Pour mixture onto a cutting board and knead together.  Stop kneading once all the elements are combined.  Do not over work this dough.  Drizzle extra olive oil on the bottom of your bowl and set your dough in it after turning it over once.  Set it in a very warm area like on your stove top, cover with a towel and let it rise for 30 minutes.  Sprinkle 2 T. of cornmeal on the bottom of a 15″ pan.  I use a 15 ” cake pan.  If you don’t have one, you can use a 12″ pizza pan or a 9″x 13″ pan would work as well.  After the dough has risen spread it over the bottom of the pan and let it rise for another 30 minutes.  Melt the butter in a microwave bowl and stir in the seasonings.  Brush the butter sauce over the dough.  Sprinkle lightly with the Kosher salt.  Sprinkle the dough evenly with the mozzarella/provolone blend and Parmesan cheese.   Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and the edges of the bread are turning golden brown.  Try not to eat the whole pan!
